BALTIMORE (PRWEB) JANUARY 05, 2021
Inc. named Catalyte as one of its “Best in Business” in 2020. It awarded the company this honor for its use of machine learning and predictive analytics to remove the unconscious bias from hiring, its training and software developer apprenticeship that creates a new, diverse generation of tech talent and the launch of RetrainAmerica, which extends the promise of retraining and a new career to a greater number of Americans.
This inaugural edition of the Best in Business Awards celebrates companies, "making a superlative impact on their industries, their neighbors, and our world." These are companies that made an outsized impact this year, leaving, “collaborators, clients, customers, employees, and surroundings better off than when [they] found them.”
The award caps an impressive year for Catalyte, which continued its software developer training program uninterrupted, bringing people from all backgrounds hope of a new career in the midst of the pandemic. Among other notable corporate achievements in 2020, Catalyte:
- Opened its sixth development center in Phoenix-Scottsdale

- Launched Create Opportunity Columbia, an initiative to train people in the Midlands region of S.C. from non-technical backgrounds to become software engineers
“If in January you showed me this list, I would have been very happy with the continued growth of the company,” said CEO Jacob Hsu. “The fact that our team was able to accomplish all this during a global pandemic that fundamentally changed how the world does business is herculean. I could not be more in awe of the work everyone at Catalyte does to ensure the continued success of our customers and to blaze a trail for anyone to begin and advance a career in technology. This Best in Business Award is a direct result of these individual efforts, compounded day-after-day.”
